As owner and operator of more than 112,000 power lines, most of which are overhead, FortisAlberta is committed to providing our customers with a safe and reliable power source.  Our top priority is the safety of our employees and our customers, especially when it comes to staying safe around power lines.  the agricultural industry is of particular concern because a lot of our customers live in communities throughout rural Alberta.  With the ag industry growing each year and equipment bigger and bigger, FortisAlberta is committed to educating farmers, ranchers, and equipment operators about the importance of power line safety.  It's critical to know the height of your equipment and the overhead clearances for power lines to ensure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
