Agri-Trade Equipment Expo has provided you some frequently asked questions and processes that you can expect to see at this year’s Agri-trade Equipment Expo.  We will do our best to keep this page up to date with any changes that may arise prior to the show opening come November 10-12, 2021. 

Agri-trade Equipment Expo is committed to delivering the safest experience possible while providing our exhibitors and attendees the opportunity to conduct business.  Our exhibitors represent the very best in agriculture equipment, technology, services and products while we provide the Right Show, Right Time and Right Location for Attendees. 

As of September 15th, by order of the Provincial Health Officer, proof of full vaccination (two doses) is required or a negative test result that was obtained within 72 hours to access indoor organized events. Current regulations require all people 2 & older to wear masks in indoor public settings. We are continuously monitoring the situation & will update you here with any changes to this policy.

The following information below is FAQ’s on what to expect when coming to Agri-Trade Equipment Expo:


Restriction Exemption Program

Agri-Trade will implement the Restrictions Exemption Program and follow all indoor mandatory masking requirements. Agri-Trade will operate without capacity or operating restrictions with all workers and patrons providing:

Proof of Vaccination. Proof of double vaccination. OR 
Proof of Negative Test. Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of attending. Tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories will not be approved. Rapid testing will be available on site. 
Medical Exemption. Documentation must be provided for a proof of medical exemption.
Age Restriction. These requirements will not apply to children under 12. 

Who is considered fully vaccinated?
Fully Vaccinated means a status that an individual achieves 14 days after they have received the recommended number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization, and requires the individual to maintain the recommended number and type of vaccine doses as updated and required by Health Canada thereafter.

Checking for Proof of Vaccinations and or Negative Rapid Tests: 

All vaccine and test verification will take place at the entrances and point of entry for tickets. Ensure you have a piece of government-issued ID along with your proof of vaccination record. Any physical or digital proof of vaccination record provided by local health authorities will be accepted. 
For fully vaccinated exhibitors, staff and volunteers we will offer pre-screening identification option to ensure easy access for those requiring multi-day admission on site. 

Agri-Trade Equipment Expo will accept negative test results upon entrance. We will offer On-Site Rapid Testing in the Chalet Building. 


On-Site Rapid Testing Program

Agri-Trade has hiring a third-party service provider who has qualified health professionals implementing rapid testing at the site.

Where to Test
Tests are available for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated guests. Cost is $40 and no appointment is necessary.  

COVID-19 rapid testing stations will be open November 10 – 12 from 8am – 4p.m. each day. No appointment is necessary. 

Location: The Chalet Building (follow the signage upon arriving at Westerner Park) 

What to Expect if you choose to undergo a rapid test on-site: 

Plan to be at the COVID Testing Area for 30 minutes or more. You will be required to wear a mask and maintain reasonable physical distancing while getting tested.

When you arrive at the screening area, check in by presenting your government-issued photo ID and you will be asked a short series of health check questions and then a professional will administer the nasal swab rapid test. 

You will be asked to wait until your result is available (within 15 minutes). The station attendant will record your results and will provide you with any additional instructions based on the results.

If the result is negative, you will be able to proceed into the event, while adhering to all other public health guidelines including but not limited to masking, physical distancing, etc. 

If you test positive for COVID-19, the worker will provide you with instructions for next steps. The guest will be required to go home immediately.

Protecting Your Privacy
Your test results will be recorded confidentially. Information is collected under the authority of sections 33(c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and in accordance with Agri-Trades data management plan. The personal information collected will be protected, used and disclosed in accordance with Part 2 of the Act, including
managing any necessary contact tracing
determining safe attendance of guests or exhibitors at Agri-Trade

Do I have to wear a mask at Agri-Trade Equipment Expo: 

Under the current public health order, masks are required in all indoor public spaces with the following exceptions: 

Children under 2, or aged 3-12 who are not reasonably able to wear a mask. 
Individuals with a written medical exemption or are cognitively unable to understand the requirement. 
While eating or drinking (seated)
Anyone engaged in public speaking, performance. Or leading a public event as long as they are maintaining social distance of 6 ft. 

Masks will not be required in the outdoor exhibit space.

The current public health order governing masks is set to be reviewed at the end of October. Any changes to this order will be communicated and updated on the website. 

In the event Agri-Trade Equipment Expo itself gets cancelled due to public health orders. All attendees will be refunded in full. 

What if public Health orders Change before Agri-Trade: 

Agri-Trade will follow all current public health orders related to COVID 19 in Alberta.  If any of the orders change; Agri-Trade will communicate those changes to Exhibitors and Attendees and the General Public as soon as possible. Please ensure to check back prior to attending the show.
